Shanah Tovah!

Shanah Tovah everyone! It feels good to start a new year. Unfortunately, it's been CONSUMED with over-eating lots of luscious food. So in true new year fashion, "the diet starts tomorrow."

However, I am thinking of it differently - "taking care of my body" instead of denying myself things. So here's to eating well and exercising...tomorrow. (I am currently eating some challah - it's just too good)

I'm finally getting on the commenting band wagon. Sorry I've been MIA.

I agree, it's impossible to really diet on a jewish holiday.

A few overall comments, since I just read the last 10 posts at once.

- Try having a banana with your oatmeal. It's more filling, and feels like a big meal
- I agree that you might not be eating enough. Try for 5ish points at lunch, so you can have a litle of every group (ex. chicken with couscous and broccoli- if you're at work, try bringing leftovers, or a turkey sandwich or something)
- Maybe have a more substantial snack in the afternoon, like fruit and yogurt, or a fiber 1 bar, or a ziplock of cereal (my fave is puffins)

Keep up the good work!

Also, I'm a big fan of eating something after dinner, as long as you don't go crazy.
